Well folks, i know it´s been a while, but our friends have been up to a lot and they have been taking pictures the whole time. sorry for the big burst all of a sudden, but check out where the two have been and what they have seen!!

Kevin got bored and said that ¨beards are for sissies¨. then Tasha threw up in her mouth. so he had to shave the rest of it off.
A beautiful, pristing beach in Parque nacional Manuel Antonio. (outside of Quepos, Costa Rica)
This is an Iguana, posig for his close-up in the limelight.
This was before the beard was for sissies.

Tasha, enjoyin the waters in Manuel Antonio.
This is a giant termite nest. wow.
A sandy trail through Manuel Antonio
Tasha, High above the surf in Manuel Antonio.
This is a monkey. duh.
This is a log.
This is another monkey- slightly cuter than the last.
This is a photograph of a reconstruction of the city of Gomorrah outside of Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio. This time, the fire is going to be hotter and the brimstone even stonier!!
¨Give me your nacho cheese flavored tortilla chips!!! give them to me!!!¨

Tasha, mowing down on a chunk of pineaple from a market in Quepos.
The coolest rocking chair ever made from rebar and plastic cordage.
A road that ultimately led to nowhere in Uvita, south of Quepos and Dominical.
Kevin, practicing his diving form at a local swimming hole in Uvita.
The pair caught sight of this rare, freshwater seal while visiting the swimming hole in Uvita. they are currently seeking confirmation from the loch-ness society of central america.

This is not a rare, strange animal. Just Tasha, being a goof. =)
Sunset on Domincal Beach, between Uvita and Quepos.
Tasha, practicing for her audition with CoverGirl.
Yeah, the sunsets down here are OK.... i guess....
Good things come to those who wait.
and when i say good things, i mean SWEET BABES!!!!
Welcome to Earth rose farm!!! This will be your dorm where you and the other volunteers will slee... said Jiminey Cricket just before this scorpion stung him in the face and started sucking the life juices out of his neck.
This is the view from a little platform along the road above earth rose farm early in the morning.
the farm caballos (horsies), Malao and India.
Fog in the morning.
Justin, a fellow WWOOFer, shellng freshly roasted cacao beans to be processed into ridiculously delicious chocolate.
More WWOOFers, Siri the librarian from Virginia, and Steph the student from New York.
Kevin, giving a Chainsaw 101 lesson. notice the prtective footwear and leggings... who needs Kevlar anyhow?
Oscar, the rooster.
All the gang, gathered in the dining room for Maji´s 61st birthda party.
Happy birthday, Maji!!!!
This is a fellow WWOOFer named Sonny. he lost half his butt to a motorboat accident about 2 years ago, and despite poplar belief, does nothing half-assed.
Steph and Justin Waitig for the bus to town that never came.
Kevin and Tasha, also waiting for the bus that didnt come... just minutes away from hitching a ride instead.
I have an idea... let´s put this giant throw switch for the on-demand hot water shower head RIGHT IN THE SHOWER STALL WITH THE GUESTS!!! taht´s up to code... right? (what code?)
A rustic room at hotel Roca Dura (Hard Rock Hotel) in San Gerardo de Rivas, where the couple spent the night before making their way to the highest point in cenral america!
Tasha, at the trailhead 2km from town, starting the hike at 5:30 AM!!
Kevin doing something to a very large tree along the trail.
Tasha and Kevin, between labored breaths and slow footsteps around 10,000 feet.
Sunrise on summit day as the pair pushed the last 5km and 1,000 feet to the top of Mt. Chirripo. (chee-ree-po, emphasis on the po)

Tasha, above a field of alpine lakes created by glaciers long ago. Oatmeal at 12,532´never tasted so good!!

The last bit of trail was mighty steep- perhaps you can tell...

  1. Oh, thank god. What with that title, and the immediate photograph of Freddie Mercury-esque face fungus, I was worried we were in for More Banana Slings Than We Could Handle.

Despite my well-founded worries, I needn't have been too alarmed. Awesome to see the adventures, as always. I hearts yous. (Especially Tasha, for throwing up in her mouth.)

  2. P.S. Despite your chosen blog name, I have noticed only one banana, and that was frozen. WTF?
