Before our intrepid travellers met up, Kevin set out on his own from the remote town of Diablo across Diablo Dam (above) into the dreaded dreariness of the infamous Rain City (aka, Seattle). With a truck full of toys (third below), topped with spare wheels and a roof-mounted canoe should the truck capsize into a river, he and his friend Sarah invaded their friend Allie's house (below) in the University district. After a visit to the trampoline gym (second below) in Bellevue across Lake Washington (no, the canoe was not needed), Sarah was ditched at the Aeronautic travel station and traded out for two new friends (and a cooler of meat and later a dog as well), as Kevin continued on his way south to Yelm, WA
